We sell a wide selection of delicious Fair Trade food products from around the world as well as beautiful gifts and stationery sourced in line with Oxfams Ethical Purchasing Policy. Oxfam strives to purchase goods and services which are produced and delivered under conditions which do not involve abuse or exploitation, and which have the least negative impact on the environment. These principles form the basis of Oxfam’s Ethical Purchasing Policy. The companies which produce or package the goods for sale in Oxfam shops are committed to meeting our Code of Conduct, both in their own companies and in their supply chains.
Fair Trade gives producers in poor countries a fair deal: a fair price for their goods; long-term contracts which provide real security; and, for many, support to gain the knowledge and skills they need to develop their businesses and increase sales. Some of the new goods for sale in Oxfam shops are Fair Trade, sourced from various Fair Trade organisations, including Cafédirect, Traidcraft and Tropical Wholefoods.
