Christmas prizes to be won
The Grand Fancy Dress competition will begin on 20 November when the Mayor arrives at 5.45pm. The Right Worshipful the Mayor Councillor Garry Peltzer-Dunn will judge the best child and the best adult costume.
The theme of the competition is the Wizard of Oz and the Theatre Royal will be giving fabulous prizes to two lucky winners. The prize for the best dressed adult will be a £100 voucher to spend in any Unique Brighton shop and for the best dressed child it will be a Royal Box package (4 tickets to include a minimum of 2 children, drinks, ice creams, programmes and a merchandise goody bag). The judging will continue through till 6.15pm during which time you will be entertained by Dorothy switching on the Christmas lights and the cast of the Wizard of Oz delivering a few numbers from the iconic production. Line up for the evening on 20 November: 5.00pm - Southern FM kicks off the celebrations and follows through with competitions to win lots of Christmas goodies 6.00pm – Dorothy switches on the Christmas lights 6.05pm – Performance from the Wizard of Oz 6.20pm – Prizes awarded for the best dressed child and adult 6.30 – Prize awarded for the best Wizard of Oz shop window display 6.45 - 8.00pm – Southern FM competitions and late night shopping More information on the Southern FM competitions and the all-important prizes to follow.
