Velvet wins again
Velvet has won 'Best Intedpendent Retailer' at the 2008 Brighton and Hove Business Awards for the second year running.
Since the awards last year Velvet has launched an online store www.velvetstore.co.uk and opened a new flagship store on Church Road, Hove. Co-Director Emma Harrop said, “Both have been a tremendous success and our great team deserve to be recognised for all the work they have put into Velvet!” The awards are designed to raise awareness and celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of the city of Brighton & Hove. The BAHBAs acknowledge and celebrate those companies, organisations and individuals who really build the Brighton brand. The judges chose Velvet’s over hundreds of entrants on account of its 'extensive range of furniture, home interiors, lighting, gifts, clothes and accessories beautifully displayed in bright and welcoming shops.' The window displays were also commended for stopping people in their tracks. This, along with an excellent reputation for customer care assured Velvet of its well deserved Award. Emma Harrop added, “A Huge Thank You to all our wonderful customers for your support over the past 8 years! We couldn’t have done it without you!”
